Uncover the magic of gratitude, using found words to create a visual and poetic expression of inner praise.
Join us this November for a creative journey dedicated to gratitude. In this workshop, we'll explore the theme of thankfulness through the unique practice of found word poetry and mixed-media collage.
Cultivating a gratitude practice has been shown to improve overall well-being. It can reduce stress, increase feelings of happiness, and help you focus on the positive aspects of your life. This workshop offers a creative and hands-on way to reap these benefits.
We'll begin with a guided meditation and journaling to help you connect with your intuition. Then, you'll follow your instincts and dive into a collection of old books and magazines to find words and phrases that resonate with your soul. These "found words" will become the threads of a personal poem, a beautiful tapestry of what you're grateful for.
You'll then translate your poem into a beautiful, personalized collage on a canvas or in a new art journal, which will be provided during the workshop.. Using a variety of materials, you'll create a visual reminder of your gratitude—a tangible reminder of the abundance in your life.
We will close our circle with a sharing ceremony, where you can read your poem aloud and share your creation with a community of kindred spirits, if you wish. This is a gentle, judgment-free space for authentic expression.
All materials will be provided, and no prior art or poetry experience is necessary. Come discover the power of gratitude and leave with a poem that nourishes your soul.
