Jody Greene

LISW-CP

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hi! My name is Jody.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout my career, I have provided both individual and group therapy across a wide range of settings, including outpatient services, residential treatment programs, group homes for foster children, and alternative placements for adolescents involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice.

I have extensive experience supporting teens and adults navigating addiction, and over the past seven years, I have focused on helping survivors of sexual abuse and assault heal from traumatic experiences.

I am particularly passionate about working with individuals impacted by trauma and (C)PTSD, as healing in this area can open the door to a greater sense of inner peace and stability. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and trained in EMDR, with specialized training in EMDR Sandtray Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Brainspotting. I also incorporate expressive arts and other creative approaches to complement these evidence-based modalities.

When we are impacted by trauma, it can feel as though we are living a life that no longer feels like our own. We may experience thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are confusing or feel misaligned with our well-being.

Therapy offers a supportive space to better understand these experiences and explore their origins. By processing past experiences, we can develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and begin to make choices that align with our goals, our well-being, and our relationships—with both ourselves and others.

Engaging in the therapeutic process creates an opportunity to build a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.

As your therapist—or your child’s therapist—I see my role as a supportive guide: a compassionate listener, a steady presence, a gentle encourager, and an advocate for your growth. I also believe deeply in the importance of joy, play, and laughter as part of the healing process.

More about Me…

I was born and raised in the Netherlands, where I discovered my passion for social work while studying at the University of Rotterdam. From the moment I was introduced to the field, I knew I had found my calling. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, with additional focus areas in child abuse and addiction.

In my personal time, I value both connection and reflection. My more outgoing side enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing, running, and engaging in meaningful conversations. I also nurture a quieter side through activities such as reading, journaling, meditation, yoga, traveling, and spending time in nature.

If you feel like I am good fit for you or your child, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I am here, when you are ready.

I am currently accepting new clients for in-person (or telehealth) sessions on Wednesdays through Saturdays.
