Inner Landscape: Felt Painting with Wool
A Felt Sense of Self
Discover the art of painting with wool in this immersive, beginner-friendly fiber arts workshop.
Using vibrant wool fibers and the traditional process of wet felting, you'll learn the fundamentals of felt painting while creating an original artwork inspired by your own inner landscape. Rather than following a rigid pattern, you'll be invited to explore color, texture, and composition through an intuitive creative process that encourages curiosity, play, and personal expression.
Fiber arts offer a uniquely engaging creative experience. The tactile qualities of soft wool, the rhythmic repetition of layering fibers, and the hands-on nature of felting create a rich sensory and kinesthetic process that naturally encourages presence, focus, and creative flow. Working with your hands invites you to slow down, quiet the noise of everyday life, and reconnect with your innate creativity.
As the fibers intertwine, you'll discover that creating with wool is as much about the journey as the finished piece. Images, patterns, and symbols often emerge organically, inviting you to trust the process and allow your artwork to unfold one layer at a time.
Whether you're an experienced artist, a curious beginner, or simply looking for a meaningful creative experience, this expressive arts workshop offers a welcoming space to learn a new fiber art technique while creating something that is uniquely your own.
Thoughtfully designed instruction, demonstrations, inspiration templates, and visual examples will be provided throughout the workshop, helping you build confidence while leaving plenty of room for your own creative voice. Whether you enjoy having a starting point or prefer to work more intuitively, you'll have the support to create a finished felt painting you'll be proud to take home.
