Resist & Reveal: An Expressive Arts & Reflective Support Group for Men

We all carry things beneath the surface—stress, anger, grief, disappointment, pressure, or experiences that are difficult to put into words. Often, we keep moving, push through, or set those things aside without having the opportunity to notice how they're affecting us.

This month, our men's group will explore these experiences through Resist & Reveal, a guided expressive arts process that combines watercolor, collage, and creative reflection. Together, we'll use the creative process as a way to slow down, increase self-awareness, and deepen the conversations that have become such an important part of this group.

As hidden layers gradually emerge on the page, you'll be invited to notice your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses with curiosity rather than judgment. Along the way, we'll reflect on themes of vulnerability, resilience, choice, and the stories we carry, and consider how we might relate to those stories in new ways.

The focus isn't on making art or creating something aesthetically beautiful. It's on engaging in the process, noticing what emerges, and sharing insights within a supportive community of men who can relate in ways that others may not. Through creativity and conversation, we'll explore not only our individual experiences but also the strength that comes from being witnessed by others who understand.

Come as you are. Bring your curiosity, your willingness to explore, and whatever you're carrying. The process will meet you there.
