Meet Courtney Chandler

Founder of HeARTS for Hope Therapy, LLC

Hey y’all, my name is Courtney. I love being a Somatic Art Therapist and Trauma-Conscious Yoga Teacher here in Greenville, South Carolina.

Over the years my clinical experience has focused on offering expressive arts therapy and trauma-conscious yoga in several different mental health facilities, detention facilities, and substance use treatment centers across the country, and has evolved into serving my clients at HeARTS for Hope Therapy through more specialized embodied healing practices that integrate art therapy, somatic therapy, and EMDR trauma therapy.

I have a decade of experience using mindfulness tools combined with expressive arts to promote inner healing and personal growth.

I really enjoy working with women, teens, and young adults who are ready and willing to embody their courageous, creative spirit and break free from the negative impacts of anxiety, trauma, grief, or limiting beliefs.

I believe that the expressive arts are a uniquely powerful tool for healing trauma and reducing shame, while promoting resiliency and self-acceptance. I use a holistic mind-body approach in my therapeutic practice and feel honored to hold space for hope and healing.

If you want to lean more about my specific credentials and specialized certifications, scroll on…they are listed near the bottom of this page.

I attempt to seek balance in my own life by spending time with friends and family (and my spunky dog, Jack). Outside of work, I’m usually spending time making a creative mess with my art supplies, hiking, reading, drinking coffee, practicing yoga and meditation, and building skills for my therapeutic practice. I love attending poetry slams and stand-up comedy shows. I’m a wannabe master gardener, though realistically can only claim to have a green-ish thumb. I love learning new things and aspire to fill my time here on earth with adventure and gratitude.

I try to witness and savor moments of awe and wonder, especially colorful sunrise or sunsets. I also won’t deny the energetic powers of simple self-care actions. My favorites include: scented candles, fuzzy slippers, chamomile tea, or watching Grey’s Anatomy.

Okay, enough about me. I’d love to meet YOU!
